20 October 2015

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Inspired, the leading provider of Virtual Sports, Mobile Games and SBG Video Lottery, and William Hill Casino, one of the world’s leading betting and gaming companies, today announce that their co-developed blockbuster slot game ‘Centurion’ has been shortlisted for Game of the Year at the 2015 EGR Operator Awards.

Now in its 11th year, the EGR Operator Awards celebrate the genuine innovation and excellence achieved across the online gaming industry in the last 12 months. The winners will be announced on November 23, 2015.

Centurion was the first game to hit the market following Inspired’s collaboration with William Hill’s online team to co-design games for the William Hill Vegas Casino tab. The success of Centurion is a result of bridging William Hill’s and Inspired’s industry leading insights, creativity and technology. It was the No. 1 slot game across William Hill’s retail, online and mobile channels for several months and still remains in the top three consistently week by week.

Gerhard Burda, Acting Chief Product Officer, Inspired, comments, “We are thrilled that Centurion has been recognised for Game of the Year. We are incredibly proud of how, with William Hill, we have developed a game that has cut through the crowded market and become its own brand that players now trust and keep going back too for fantastic entertainment.”

William Mathieson, Head of Gaming Development, William Hill, adds, “Centurion has been our strongest new game launch in the last two years. It’s a testament to the team strength and what you can achieve when you bring best-in-breed expertise together. Players today increasingly want and expect strong omnichannel gaming content – Centurion delivers this in spades.”
