Southern Gaming Summit and Bingo World announce 2016 conference program

7 January 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The conference program for Southern Gaming Summit and its companion event Bingo World, to be held at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center May 3-5, is set and will feature 25 breakout sessions, in-depth educational workshops and an opening keynote by Anthony Sanfilippo, Chief Executive Officer, Pinnacle Entertainment.

The conference will kick off Tuesday, May 3, with the 5th annual AGA Global Gaming Women Luncheon at Island View Casino Resort. Followed by two full days of sessions covering a wide range of casino and bingo industry topics, starting with the opening keynote address by Sanfilippo on Wednesday, May 4.

"This year's conference program again reflects why Southern Gaming Summit, which brings together top-level attendees serving the commercial, tribal and charitable gaming industries, has distinguished itself as the most important regional gaming event in our industry," said Larry Gregory, Executive Director, Mississippi Gaming & Hospitality Association, which co-producers the event with BNP Media Gaming Group. "Our goal as always is to help move gaming initiatives in a profitable and productive direction as our region continues to rebound and build positive momentum. We are confident that this year's program will do just that."

The conference will revive some popular new additions to last year's program, which for the first time featured topics such as fantasy sports, a casino chef's roundtable followed by a live cooking event on the show floor and marketing to millennials, all of which will be revisited this May. New Southern Gaming Summit sessions will include, "Global Gaming Women: What is the Path to Executive-Level Equality?" "Skill-Based Slots," "To Spend or Not to Spend: The CFO View," and "New Gaming Opportunities in the South."

On the Bingo World side, new additions include back-to-back sessions on Class II machines on both days; "The A to Z of Event Tickets and Pulltabs," which is this year's Bingo U workshop; and "Learn the Waste Walk," which will identify eight areas of waste and how to eliminate them.

Southern Gaming Summit's popular networking events are also set for 2016, starting with the Southern Gaming Summit/Bingo World Golf Tournament, which will be held at Grand Bear Golf Course on Tuesday, May 3; the Global Gaming Women's Luncheon and a Welcome Reception at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Biloxi sponsored by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM). Golden Nugget - Biloxi will host the Opening Party on Wednesday, May 4.
