LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- 1000 visitors, 45 exhibitors, 16 speakers, 4 parties 2 sports cars, and an army of affiliate-gaming promo girls… CAP London 08 was the biggest affiliate event to date.
As the oldest and largest Internet gaming affiliate resource online, CasinoAffiliatePorgrams.com is the grassroots for affiliates in the online gambling trade, giving professionals the chance to network, learn from, and generally breathe in the industry as it stands today.
With affiliates taking up 65% of overall guest turnout, CAP Euro 08 was no exception to this rule, taking place directly after ICE on 24 – 27 January, at the Olympia Conference Centre, London.
Introducing a world-class programme of speakers and panel sessions, the conference boasted industry leading names such Neil Patel presenting a session on Social Networking and Web 2.0. and a CEO panel featuring Petter Nylander who, as UniBet chief, was controversially arrested last year for breach of a French monopoly law dating 1836. The keynote slot was this year filled by Brent Hoberman, who built a fortress of success from lastminute.com, which he co-founded in 1998.
Outside the conference, the massive exhibition spaces represented a cyber-city of online gambling, with Djs, cocktail bars, a Ferrari courtesy of Affiliate Speed Pay.Other household names included Ladbrokes, Everest Poker, Virgin Games, Chipleader and of course our two key sponsors, Partygaming and Partnerlogic. Mary Griffin General Manager of Online & Affiliate Marketing at Ladbrokes was certainly satisfied with the turnout, claiming CAP London was "easily the best to date."
Delegates had just enough time to drop off their trinket-filled goody bags - containing anything from jewel-encrusted money holders to, appropriately perhaps, an exaggerated number of caps – before heading out to the sponsored after-show parties.
HollywoodPoker were hosting the opening night party, held at well-known celebrity haunt, Café de Paris, while RushmoreCasino chose Soho's exclusive Floridita club for the closing Saturday party. As expected, the parties were thoroughly sponsor-spangled, with signature cocktails, go-go dancers, and a double shot of delegate deviousness. The jewel on the crown though was of course the Cap Awards which took place at Chelsea Football Club in front of over 500 people.
As if they hadn't had enough, guests, exhibitors, CAP staff and anyone who could stay awake, enjoyed a jovial close to the CAP London on Sunday, with an impromptu live poker tournament with Crystal at traditional and aptly names pub Champagne Charlie's.
