5. Pointsbet launches new sportsbook with Allen Iverson
The Australian online bookmaker
PointsBet will be soon hitting the U.S. market with 24/7 wagering on a variety of events, including the four major American sports (baseball, basketball, football and hockey).
To introduce themselves into the market, the brand has signed NBA legend and Hall of Famer Allen Iverson to help them usher in a new way for American sports fans to enjoy wagering.
He also helped introduce a free-to-enter $1 million NBA Sweepstakes competition that began Monday, 8 October and truly tests fans’ knowledge of the game that Iverson once dominated. Simply pick the top eight seeds in each conference in the correct order, and the prize money is yours. The sweepstakes will run through 16 October and is open to Pennsylvania and New Jersey residents.
4. USBookmaking teams up with Santa Ana Star Casino
USBookmaking has announced an agreement to provide its sports betting risk services to
Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel in New Mexico.
The sportsbooks is planned to launch on 16 October. Santa Ana Star serves the Albuquerque market and is one of the top three New Mexico casinos in terms of annual revenue.

3. SLS Las Vegas begins $100 million upgrades
SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is set to begin more than $100 million in resort renovations that will enhance the casino floor, upgrade hotel rooms and renovate existing pool and entertainment venues.
Planning for the re-imagined guest experience began in April of this year. Room upgrades are already underway, and enhancements to the casino floor began Monday, 8 October.
Updates to the 60,000-square-foot casino floor will include a new layout for the slot, table games pit and high-limit areas, as well as new ceilings, carpeting and lighting to create a modern, inviting atmosphere in the center of the action. Resort renovations will include a redesigned Story Tower, remodels to the World and Grand Tower corridors, and select suite upgrades. Additional enhancements across the property will be announced in the coming months.
2. $1.9 million jackpot at Mohegan Sun
On the morning of Wednesday, 3 October, Cindy Montalbano’s life changed forever. Playing the Wizard of Oz penny slot machine in Casino of the Sky at
