Casino Journal's Best New Table Game winners selected

25 November 2014

LAS VEGAS -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Table game operators at the 2014 Raving's Cutting Edge Table Games Conference selected Pick 'Em Blackjack by 18 Gaming LLC; Aces Poker Faces by Aces Poker Faces, Inc. and Switch Hands by Global Innovative Gaming as the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of Casino Journal's Best New Table Games competition last month. The winners were voted on by qualified attendees who were required to sample each of the 20 new games entered in the competition.

As the Gold winner, Pick 'Em Blackjack will receive floor space at Bucky's Casino and Prescott resort, Arizona; Grey Eagle Casino and Bingo, Calgary, Canada; Muckleshoot Casino, Auburn, Washington; and Saratoga Casino Black Hawk, Black Hawk, Colorado. The floor space is subject to all necessary jurisdictional and regulatory approvals.

"Winning this award is more than just getting a foot-in-the-door; it means so much to us," said Daniel Hofstein, 18 Gaming LLC. "The response to our game here was overwhelming. Everyone was giving us a great reaction to the game during the event. People were saying, 'We love it,' 'It would look great in our casino.' But anyone who is a table game developer has heard that before so it was great to have that reassurance at the end. We're honored."

The Best New Table Games competition capped the fifth and largest edition ever of Raving's Cutting Edge Table Games. All told, the event attracted over 350 attendees, a double-digit increase over the prior year, and 31 exhibitors and sponsors, the most ever for this event.

The event was composed of an opening workshop on Advanced Advantage Play plus two full days of table games-oriented conference sessions and keynote presentations. The next edition will be held at Rio Las Vegas November 9-11, 2015.
