SAN FRANCISCO, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Bringing ease and convenience to the legalized online gambling market in the U.S. and Canada, First Data, the global leader in payment technology and services solutions, and CrossPay Services, a boutique payment service provider, announced at the Global iGaming Summit & Expo (GIGSE) that they have partnered to bring the benefits of simple and secure payments to the emerging regulated online and traditional brick-and-motor gambling industry.
First Data recently launched PayLucky Solutions for legalized online and offline gambling and gaming in response to an industry challenged with the need to manage an array of providers offering multiple payment options. The innovative package of comprehensive payment services is offered all in one place and all from one source. Beyond check processing, the solutions suite includes credit cards, open and closed loop prepaid and mobile payments.
"Adding First Data's products to our existing check processing and money transfer services creates an exciting proposition for our clients," said Dickson Jay, chief executive officer, CrossPay Services. "We have an opportunity to capitalize on the growing online market in the U.S. and Canada by providing operators with the most powerful payment options in one simple offering."
As an initial step in this partnership, the companies will offer TeleCheck solutions to U.S. and Canadian gaming operators including legalized online gaming. The solutions will leverage Telecheck's market-leading capabilities in the areas of warranty, risk management and ACH settlement. The service helps to protect gaming operators and players with proprietary analysis on individual spending habits and qualifies players through third party validation.
"PayLucky is about innovation and the next wave of payment acceptance for casinos, tribal gaming and online gambling," said Jonathan O'Connor, general manager, Online Gambling and Alternative Markets, First Data. "Through our relationship with CrossPay, we will drive innovation and industry change by leveraging depth of expertise and experience from both companies."
"Payments continue to challenge the U.S. online gambling industry and our strategic partnership delivers new solutions to those challenges," said Morden "Cookie" Lazarus, executive chairman, CrossPay Services. "We will also offer new services to the brick-and-mortar casino market in Canada through this strategic relationship."
