(PRESS RELEASE) --
Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Northeast’s premier resort destination, today announced that Dale Merrill, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration, was chosen as the Great Women of Gaming Award’s Service Star recipient. This highly regarded award, which brings global recognition to the exceptional women in the gaming industry, celebrates those that are champions of stellar customer service experiences.
Since beginning her career with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods Resort Casino in 1994, Dale has held multiple positions within the organization. Over the last two decades, Dale has earned the role of overseeing the growth and development of Foxwoods’ 6,000 team members. Under Dale’s leadership, Foxwoods revitalized its training platform with a spotlight on team member recognition, engagement and retention, offering greater access to trainings and advanced communication channels.
“To say managing a resort casino with 6,000 team members is a big undertaking would be an understatement, but Dale does so with great efficiency and effectiveness,” said Rodney Butler, Foxwoods Resort Casino’s Interim CEO and Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. “Dale continues to be a driving force behind Foxwoods’ continued guest service transformation, setting industry benchmarks and breaking the mold for exemplary guest service. With her guidance, our team members are able to practice the outstanding service skills our guests have come to expect from Foxwoods for the past 25-plus years.”
Dale was selected for the Service Star award from a pool of 80 talented industry peers. She will be presented with the award at this year’s G2E conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, 8 October 2018.
