Ex-SportingBet and Bodog U.K. lawyer launches iGaming Counsel
8 October 2012
LONDON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The global legal and regulatory landscape of the iGaming industry today seems to be more complex, inconsistent and fragmented than at any time in its history. In recognizing this, Stuart Tilly has teamed up with a former Bodog U.K. colleague, Dhruti Gore, to establish iGaming Counsel (www.igamingcounsel.com), a London-based advisory firm dedicated to helping businesses operating in the online gaming industry deal with the legal, regulatory and commercial challenges that continually present themselves.
Stuart qualified at magic circle law firm Allen & Overy LLP, but has worked as in-house legal advisor to both SportingBet and Bodog U.K. since 2005. Dhruti, also a practicing solicitor, earned her stripes at Nabarro LLP, specializing in corporate and commercial advisory, before joining Stuart at Bodog U.K. last year.
Stuart, who also holds a current Personal Management License issued by the U.K. Gambling Commission, commented: “The online gaming industry poses ever evolving challenges in almost every aspect of the business. The treatment of online gaming can differ vastly from one jurisdiction to the next and we believe it’s vital for any business in this industry to have the correct strategic approach coupled with a global vision to achieve long term success in one of the most fast paced, challenging and competitive industries world wide.
“We look forward to talking to and working with any business that needs help getting to grips with any aspect of the global legal or regulatory landscape in this fascinating and growing industry.”
Stuart and Dhruti will both be attending EiG in Barcelona from 16th to 18th October.
