G2E Main Stage to spotlight tribal gaming response to prediction markets

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Global Gaming Expo, presented by the American Gaming Association and organized by RX, announced Monday Main Stage programming featuring tribal gaming leaders and advocates. The speakers will discuss their concerns regarding prediction markets bypassing tribal frameworks to offer backdoor sports betting and what actions are being taken to protect and preserve the tribal gaming market.

“Prediction markets are an existential threat to tribal gaming and tribal sovereignty,” said Victor Rocha, Indian Gaming Association’s Conference Chair. “We created this keynote because this fight demands a unified response. When we stand together, Indian Country is a political, legal and economic force that cannot be ignored.”

Prediction markets have quickly evolved from a niche financial product into one of the most significant challenges facing tribal gaming. As litigation unfolds and regulators debate jurisdiction, tribes are recognizing the need for a coordinated response. This discussion examines why unity matters, how tribes can align legal, political, and public policy strategies, and what collective action may be necessary to protect tribal gaming, sovereignty, and regulatory authority.

The conversation will be moderated by Jason Giles, Executive Director of the Indian Gaming Association (IGA), and will feature:

- Bill Miller, President and CEO, American Gaming Association (AGA)
- Holly Macarro, Tribal Advocate and Political Strategist, Federal Government Relations; Principal, The Angle

Following Monday’s Main Stage programming, G2E will host attendees for the G2E Welcome Reception from 5:00–7:00 p.m. in Venetian Ballroom F. The reception will offer attendees an opportunity to connect with colleagues and industry leaders, continue the day’s conversations and celebrate the opening of G2E 2026.
