G2E Ramps Up Entertainment Level

22 October 2008

This year’s G2E entertainment area will be teeming with celebrities, including a Grammy award-winner, a Nashville top-20 recording artist and a network sitcom star.

The Global Gaming Expo, which takes place Nov. 18-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is focusing on the importance of live casino entertainment and events by introducing the special entertainment area. The area will not only feature live shows but all that goes with it -- professional staging, lighting, audio visual and more. This will go along with a conference track dedicated to entertainment issues at casinos.

Frank Fahrenkopf, president and chief executive of the American Gaming Association, said in a prepared statement that he believes these activities will reflect the significance of entertainment in the industry.

“Live entertainment has always been an important part of the casino gaming experience,” he added. “Even as casinos across the country continue to expand the amenities available to guests, live entertainment will remain a cornerstone of those options.”
