Global Gamblers Not Set to Bet on City

TORONTO, Canada -- As reported by the Globe and Mail: ``It looks as though even people who make their living from gambling may not be willing to bet on Toronto, thanks to SARS.

``The U.S. organizer of the Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo, which is scheduled to take place at Toronto's downtown convention centre May 20 to 22, said yesterday that sentiment among delegates, exhibitors and sponsors is running so strongly against proceeding because of concerns about the disease that it will likely move the event to another city.

``...This would have been the third year in a row the interactive gaming summit was held in Toronto. Last year, it attracted about 1,100 delegates..."
