NEWTON, Massachusetts -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (GPWA) is pleased to announce that it has received "The Lou Fabiano Award for the Best iGaming Community." The GPWA was honored with this award, named after the legendary online gaming affiliate expert who passed away last summer, at the iGB Affiliate Awards ceremony in London yesterday.

The winner of "The Lou Fabiano Award for the Best iGaming Community" was determined by popular vote and by a judging panel of 16 online gaming affiliate industry leaders.

The Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (https://www.gpwa.org) was founded in May 2001 as an organization that promotes responsible online gaming, strengthens relationships between affiliate program managers and portal webmaster affiliates, and gives its members a way to collaborate with other webmasters.

Over the past few years, the GPWA has experienced phenomenal growth. Today, the GPWA's 11,000 members represent thousands of websites and millions of monthly visitors, communicating and sharing information in 150 forums, with 49,000 threads and 330,000 posts.

According to Michael Corfman, GPWA Executive Director, "We are truly honored to receive such an award from our industry and our community, and it is our mission to continue to provide true value to the affiliate marketing community by delivering top-quality content and an exceptional networking venue for affiliates and affiliate program managers."

Membership in the GPWA is free, and members also receive free subscriptions to the GPWA Times Magazine and the GPWA Times Weekly Newsletter covering industry news of particular interest and concern to portal webmasters, gathered by a full-time team of online gaming industry reporters.
