IGB Espana achieves 34 percent growth

12 November 2010

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- iGB Espana 2010, a niche event organised by iGB Affiliate Events, came to a close on Saturday 6th of November with over 400 attendees in attendance. This saw a 34% rise in delegate numbers from its inaugural 2009 event. With all eyes on the newly flourishing Italian and French iGaming industry, Spain still arguably stands out as the biggest independent economy in which remote gaming will potentially thrive. This was substantiated by the hundreds of iGaming executives who descended on Madrid to network and attend the special-focus conference sessions.

"iGB Espana 2010 was an amazing event" Stated Ezequiel Sznaider, Commercial Director of CMedia, leading affiliates in the Hispanic marketplace "With highly interesting sessions, in which affiliates and operators received valuable information on the Spanish and Latin American markets, from market trends, to legalization, users profile, marketing strategies, SEO and much more. CMedia will certainly be returning next year to watch this event grow in strength"

An opportunity to meet the key players in the Spanish-speaking marketplace, iGB Espana saw many illustrious names speak and attend the conference. From Ivan Pelayo CEO of the Pelayo group, and Raul Mestre, famous poker star, to the Victor Chandler all making an appearance, delegates had a wide choice of business deals available to clinch in this market. Primary sponsors included Winzingo, leading bingo room in Spain, Stan James, one of the most acclaimed names within the betting industry, and Mister Apuestas, the Spanish facing brand for Victor Chandler, a brand which has been a leader in Sports Betting for more than seven decades.

"Thanks to the iGB team for a great weekend." Stated Julian Dellipiani, Head of Affiliates for Victor Chandler "The whole event was very well planned and we have made good contacts with potentially large Spanish affiliates, making the whole trip very worthwhile."

Primarily a Spanish-speaking event, conference session had live English translation available and delegates were granted access to some of the most popular clubs in town, with one of the official party held exclusively at the notorious PACHA, the club that kicked started the Ibiza rage over a decade ago. Those interested in the 2011 event are asked to refer back to www.iGBEspana.com which will be updated in the coming months. Alternatively two of the larger affiliate events, www.LondonAffiliateConference.com and www.iGamingSuperShow.com will be held in January and May respectively.
