Alex Pratt, Managing Director at iGaming Business, announced today on the Facebook Group
"iGaming Notworkers" that iGB Live! and iGB Affiliate Amsterdam, scheduled for 22-25 September, will be "postponed to July 2021."
"It's being announced imminently so heads up - iGB Live is unfortunately being postponed to July 2021," the post read. "Without going into all the detail, it's fundamentally the right thing to do.... With the current situation (and more so the uncertainty) we could organise a safe event however delivering meaningful ROI for attendees and exhibitors was becoming more and more uncertain and despite the fun we all have in Amsterdam this is the reason we invest our time and money.
"Personally gutted as was really looking forward to getting out from my increasingly unappealing work office and seeing everyone... but hopefully if things go to plan the team are planning some smaller scale events focused on networking in various regions over the next 6-9 months so watch this space. Onward and upward!"
The event was originally scheduled for 14-17 July, but
back in early April event organizers made the decision to move it to September, saying at the time, "As event organizers, we are also experiencing first-hand the impact of this awful virus on multiple levels alongside you, and we know how challenging this period is turning out to be for so many of our customers."
