Julian Graves becomes non-executive chairman of Juegos Miami

9 May 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Julian Graves has switched roles at Clarion Events to become non-executive chairman of the gaming division, where he will concentrate his time on the launch of Juegos Miami, the bespoke event for the Pan-Latin American and Caribbean gaming industry and the continued development of the award winning, ICE Totally Gaming. Julian, who will be in attendance at both events, will work alongside the teams at Clarion and partners, Urban Expositions, reporting directly to Clarion Gaming Managing Director Kate Chambers.

Expanding on the new focus, Kate Chambers said, "Julian was part of the leadership team responsible for researching and developing Juegos Miami. We have planned for his transition to non-executive chairman for some six months, and I am extremely pleased that he will continue to be an important part of our senior team and will be at the inaugural Juegos Miami which opens on May 31.

"Most launch events take some time to develop their own personality, but I have been really pleased at how quickly Juegos Miami has created its own identifiable character and position in the industry. The decision to make it an invitation-only event, with attendance limited to senior decision makers, has been well received and we have been really encouraged by the calibre of attendees, comprising many of the most influential business people, decision-makers and regulators in the region, which is all very positive news for our exhibitor partners.

"The Latin American and Caribbean gaming market is developing at a rapid pace, with some observers projecting 44% growth by 2020. Dynamic markets need robust and professional business events and it's our aim to place Juegos Miami at the heart of the industry, in the process, helping the industry to navigate a progressive and sustainable future."

Gaming innovators have embraced the Juegos Miami vision and the inaugural event will feature leading innovators and notable commercial organizations, including Alfastreet, Aristocrat, Ainsworth, BMM, GLI, JCM, Merkur, Novomatic, Quixant, BetConstruct, Betradar, Apollo Games, Aruze, Bet stone, Casino Technology, Everi Games, Win Systems, DRGT, DLV, BIT8, Skilrock Technologies, Vivo Gaming, GB Group, E-Magnus, Nexuslink, Playtech, PDS Gaming, Alternative Gaming Solution, DRET Systems, Nexustech, Sportstrade AG and NRT Technologies. The event has been structured to provide delegates with the maximum opportunity to spend time, network and talk innovation with the key players in the industry.

Julian will be acting as non-executive chairman, via his consultancy, Graves And Company.
