LONDON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Michael Jones, the superintendent of the Illinois Lottery, will be the keynote speaker at the iGaming Super Show due to be held on the 22nd to 25th of May. Jones's expertise in the world of lotteries provided the strategic guidance that led to the sale of lottery products over the Internet and led to Illinois becoming the first U.S. state lottery to offer Mega Million and Lotto tickets online. The beginning of sales coincided with the largest lottery prize ever offered in the world.

“We are delighted that Michael has agreed to speak at the iGaming Super Show and provide us with an insider look at the development of land-based lotteries moving online. As one of the pioneers in his landscape it will be fascinating to hear about his perspective on the U.S. online gambling market and how the changes there will affects the rest of the world,” stated Alex Pratt, head of iGaming Business and organizer of the iGaming Super Show “Our events are specifically designed to bring delegates the rising trends and opportunities in the industry and we felt that Michael had a unique experience and expertise that he could share.”

In his current capacity Jones is responsible for maximizing lottery profits and overseeing the private firm and was specifically hired last year to manage Illinois Lottery operations for the next decade. Jones brings years of experience to this critical position. Recruited from a successful career in private business, he served as superintendent of the Illinois Lottery from 1981-1985 under former Governor James Thompson, overseeing a record billion-dollar increase in sales. His CV continues to read as a who’s who of the lottery world, with consulting relationships with a list of some of the biggest lotteries in the world, including lotteries in 13 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Great Britain, Ukraine, British Columbia and Western Canada.

The iGaming Super Show itself is free for all delegates and will be a multi-track advanced conference for general admittance, including the keynote speech. This event will play host to over 100 suppliers and exhibitors and over 2,000 delegates, creating a marketplace for anyone looking for services, suppliers, affiliates and affiliate programs within the industry. Equally newcomers to the online gambling industry can take advantage of the Professional iGaming Management Education, which is a one-day course specifically designed for new entrants providing an intensive course on all areas of iGaming from payments and marketing to recruitment and fraud.
