MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit postponed

17 March 2020

The MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit and Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards (BSG Awards), originally scheduled for 7 May at the Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia Tallinn in Estonia, have been postponed to a date to be announced, but the event will hold a virtual edition on 7 May 2020.

From the website:

"Based on the survey we sent out this week, we have found that 90% of the delegates, speakers and gaming industry peers are not comfortable to travel to Tallinn this May, even if the travel bans are lifted.

We have also asked the Health Board Department of Communicable Diseases Surveillance and Control of Estonia for suggestions and they advised us to not proceed with any international events in the first semester of the year.

We would like to assure you that our actions and decisions will at all times prioritize the safety and well-being of delegates, speakers, members, and staff. Based on these facts we decided to postpone the conference to a later date which we will announce in the upcoming days.

Nevertheless, please keep the 7th of May marked in your agenda, as we are creating a virtual edition of the MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit.

The virtual edition of the MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit has been designed to cope with the gambling industry’s learning and networking demands in the Baltic and Scandinavian regions during the travel restrictions and dangers due to COVID-19. It is also designed to allow international companies to attend any travel being involved.

As a virtual delegate, you have the opportunity to set up meetings and chat with registered delegates, but also listen and view panel discussions, keynote presentations which will be presented by the experts of the industry.

All this from the comfort of your home or office without the dangers of canceled flights or risks of being quarantined in a foreign country.

The virtual edition of the MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit is going to be held online on the 7th of May
The MARE BALTICUM platform will continue its mission with which it has been launched in 2018 and is committed to bringing together industry shareholders and government officials from the Baltic and Scandinavian region on a yearly base.

After touring Riga and Vilnius, the conference is now heading to another Baltic destination and this time Estonia will take center stage as the host of the yearly gathering.

The virtual edition’s agenda will host several industry related discussion and presentations about how to cope during the COVID-19 crisis and help you business survive.

The live conference’s agenda will include regulatory focused discussion mixed with trends of the gambling industry and the region, while the selection of speakers will once again include local/experienced speakers.

In 2020, the aim is to bring start-up operators to the stage and also continue the panel discussion style with at least one panelist being an operator from the market vs. gambling authority and controlling authority discussing issues and changes in the market."
