LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The interactive worlds of mobile, Internet and social media that are driving fundamental change in the casino industry will be spotlighted at the 10th annual Gaming Technology Summit to be held at the Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa and Casino here June 11-13.

Among the topics to be explored will be operator egaming strategies, slot manufacturer interactive strategies, mobile gaming, mobile technologies, Facebook and social media in the casino and Internet gaming rules and legislation. A key area of focus within each area will be how to integrate new technologies with back-end investments and promote a unified view of customer behaviors.

"Gaming operators who are preparing for any or all aspects of interactive technologies will find this year's Gaming Technology Summit to be indispensable," said Saverio R. Scheri III, founding partner of WhiteSand Gaming and President, Valley Forge Casino Resort. "We will examine the topics of mobile and Internet gaming and social media from the standpoint of what is practical and attainable for a wide range of industry stakeholders."

Gaming Technology Summit attendees will be able to choose among the following interactive gaming sessions:

Slot Manufacturers and Interactive Gaming: As the doors to online and interactive gaming opens in the U.S., slot manufacturers are looking to delivering mobile, Internet and social media products and solutions. Hear how they are organizing themselves and working with current gaming operators take existing land-based products into the interactive space.

eGaming: There are a few ways to provide Internet gaming for players ranging from completely outsourcing the entire offering through custom developing your own solution. Companies just embarking on this effort will need to determine which path is best for them and understand the pros and cons of the different approaches.

Facebook and Social Media in the Casino: Every 60 seconds, over 600,000 Facebook statuses are updated, over 98,000 tweets are sent and over 600 videos are uploaded on YouTube. Needless to say social media is here to stay, and impacting our business in ways we never imagined. How can your business benefit from this phenomenon? This session will review the latest trends casinos are utilizing social media and how it can help your entire organization.

Mobile Apps - The Next Generation: With over 500,000 apps available just on the Apple iPhone alone, millions of people are using apps to stay connected to their favorite entertainment venues, stores and activities. Learn what an app could do for your property and how it will allow you to interact with your customers more often and more effectively.

Internet Gaming Update: Recent rulings by the Department of Justice (DOJ), individual state legislation, and many tribal initiatives are poised to imminently bring legal Internet gaming to the US. This session will review the latest developments and discuss their impact on the future of gaming. Hear about the latest rulings and initiatives and learn what they mean to the gaming industry as a whole as well as to specific markets.

Mobile Technology: The size of technology continues to shrink, providing more powerful devices with longer battery life that allow customers to do more than ever while on the go. These new devices could theoretically remove almost all human interaction in many traditional transactions throughout the casino resort. Guests can reserve a room, check in, unlock their door, order room service, make dinner reservations, sign-up for a slot tournament, even play in the slot tournament all from their smartphone or tablet. And that's just one example.

The above topics are part of program that includes over 25 information-packed conference sessions and vendor workshops during its two-day run. There will be three keynotes, including an opening speech from Ramesh Srinivasan, President and Chief Operating Officer, Bally Technologies, who will use the occasion of the Summit's 10th anniversary to deliver an address entitled "Gaming Technology, the Next 10 Years."
