Northern Nevada Gaming Summit Returns

RENO, Nevada – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Market leaders Raving Consulting and
Ascend Media Gaming Group are teaming up to produce the Second Northern Nevada
Gaming Summit, February 22-23, 2005 at Harrah's Reno.

The inaugural conference produced honest discussion, one-of-a-kind
networking and valuable information on the gaming industry and its challenges
in Northern Nevada. This year's Summit is titled "Northern Nevada: Fighting
Back" and will focus on both market and property specific business building
strategies and tactics that gaming operators can use to keep the regional
gaming market healthy and to restore growth.

Northern Nevada Gaming Summit will kick off Feb. 22 with an evening
reception. Former Harrah's Chairman Phil Satre will introduce the featured
speaker, John Ascuaga, founder of John Ascuaga's Nugget Casino Resort. A full
day's program will follow on Feb. 23, which features six dynamic sessions --
including an innovative panel moderated by Satre -- and a formal luncheon with
a keynote address by Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO, Las Vegas
Convention & Visitors Authority

The keynote address is titled "How Las Vegas Keeps Reinventing Itself."
Year after year, Las Vegas continues to be at the forefront of marketing
innovation, advertising creativity and creating an unsurpassed visitor
experience. Ralenkotter will tell the story of how it succeeds in continually
reinventing itself and finding new market segments. At last year's inaugural
Northern Nevada Gaming Summit, several presenters debated the importance of
convention and general tourism in reshaping Reno.

In a Sept. 20, 2004, editorial, the Reno Gazette-Journal said of Northern
Nevada Gaming Summit, "Casino owners and operators had a hard time facing the
dose of reality dished out earlier this year by a hard-nosed gaming analyst.
They've had half a year now to contemplate his advice, and they're bringing
him back to address the region's second Gaming Summit. ... While 2005 Northern
Nevada Gaming Summit's agenda still is in the making, it would be good to
think about inviting additional fresh voices to look at the town and sit down
at the table. Continued willingness to face hard facts may indeed result in a
new lease on life. The biggest surprise next year would be if the conference
isn't standing room only."
