DENVER, Colorado – (Press Release) -- The Colorado Gaming Association is teaming up with gaming industry media leader Ascend Media Gaming Group to produce a new conference, the Rocky Mountain Gaming Summit, Oct. 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Denver.

Gaming has played a vital role in the economic development and re- development of several resort communities throughout the region, and has pumped hundreds of millions of dollars into state and local economies. The Rocky Mountain Gaming Summit's two-day conference will help gaming and tourism officials to maximize the opportunities that gaming presents throughout the region.

"The casino gaming industry is a vital economic engine in Colorado and neighboring states," said Lois Rice, Executive Director of the Colorado Gaming Association, "and the Rocky Mountain Gaming Summit will give attendees the tools they need to take their operations to new heights. We're excited about our new partnership with Ascend Media Gaming Group, which has been the gaming industry's leading presenter of educational seminars and trade shows for more than 15 years, and we're confident that together we'll produce an event of tremendous value to gaming executives throughout the region."

The event begins with a welcome reception the evening of Oct. 28, and then continues with a day and a half of seminars Oct. 29 and 30. The conference topics and lineup of presenters will be announced later this month and will be regularly updated at www.rockymountaingaming.com .

The Colorado Gaming Association (CGA) is the only statewide non-profit association representing the interests of the Colorado commercial casino industry. Founded in 1994, the association represents the gaming industry before the legislature, the Colorado Limited Gaming

Control Commission, and other state entities, such as the Colorado Historical Society, Department of Revenue, and the Office of the Attorney General. Together, these businesses in the former mining towns of Black Hawk, Central City and Cripple Creek are the entertainment of choice for millions of people, generating numerous out- of-state visits annually to these historic towns.
