ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey –(Press Release) -- Gaming's expansion into new markets - and the challenges that accompany that growth - will top the agenda at the upcoming 6th Annual Mid-Atlantic Gaming Congress, May 22, 2002, at the newly refurbished Historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
Traditionally, the Congress's most-watched event has been the Industry Leaders Forum, where the top executives of some of America's most powerful gaming companies offer their opinions on the future of Atlantic City and gaming in the Eastern region of the U.S. This year, the forum will include: J. Terrence Lanni, Chairman and CEO of MGM Mirage Inc.; Paul E. Rubeli, Chairman and CEO of Aztar Corp.; Philip G. Satre, Chairman and CEO of Harrah's Entertainment Inc.; Donald D. Snyder, President of Boyd Gaming Corp.; and Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., President and CEO of the American Gaming Association.
``The Industry Leaders Forum has always been a highlight of our conference, and for good reason: Top industry officials use this venue to put forth new ideas, discuss concerns and chart the casino industry's future,' said Michael Pollock, publisher of Michael Pollock's Gaming Industry Observer, one of the conference's organizing producers.
``Once again, we are honored to host a panel of genuine leaders who offer both insight into where the industry is heading, and the resources to make it happen,' said Lloyd D. Levenson, senior partner in the law firm of Cooper Perskie April Niedelman Wagenheim & Levenson, P.A., who is also an organizing producer.
Other panels will include leading regulators from across the nation, Wall Street's top analysts and a regional outlook, featuring industry officials from throughout the eastern United States. Gaming's expansion in New York and other states, as well as on the Internet, will be some of the topics discussed at the conference.
The organizing producers of the Mid-Atlantic Gaming Congress are: Michael Pollock's Gaming Industry Observer, an award-winning newsletter and information service that tracks trends that impact the gaming industry; Cooper Perskie April Niedelman Wagenheim & Levenson, P.A., an Atlantic City firm with one of the world's leading gaming practices; the accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP, recognized for its expertise in gaming; and Rutgers University, which enjoys a national reputation for academic excellence.
