World Gaming Congress and Expo coming up

As the 2001 World Gaming Congress and Expo draws near, show organizers are pleased to report that thousands of gaming professionals from more than 70 countries have already registered, an increase of 27 percent compared to last year.

To be held October 17th- 19th at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, the World Gaming Congress and Expo, will also include an industry conference for the gambling fraternity, consisting of over 80 seminars and panel discussions.

"We are thrilled with the early response the World Gaming Congress and Expo has received from gaming professionals around the world," said Brian Vargas, Senior Vice President Trade Shows for GEM Communications, organizers of the show. "The strong registration numbers are especially gratifying in light of the slowing economy and the growing number of gaming-related events springing up around the globe," he elaborated.

Speakers at the event will include Steve Wynn and award winning environmentalist Erin Brockovich.
