Join us for the first Bristol Hub for Gambling Harms Research International Interdisciplinary Colloquium.
This one-day conference will showcase gambling harms research; feature keynotes from government, lived experience and research experts from around the world; invite all participants to discuss ways of tackling gambling harms across disciplinary, practice and international boundaries; and enable rich networking.
The theme is “Building capacity in gambling harms research”, with keynotes and panel sessions reflecting the four Research Challenges of the Hub:
Perceptions, Motivations, Decisions. What initiates harmful gambling?
Narratives, Practice, Representation. What is the everyday practice and portrayal of gambling in social groups?
Experience, Risk, Harm. What social and spatial inequalities exacerbate gambling harms?
Innovation, Transition, Change. What socio-technical innovations can help combat gambling harms?
