Topics in the workshop include: Recovery-Oriented System of Care (ROSC) and Understanding, Utilizing 12 Step Programs, and How to Develop Strong Therapy Groups. Participants will be able to: Describe several recommendations for ROSC and discuss the role of recovery community organizations. List several peer-to-peer services and discuss ways that problem gambling can be integrated into peer-to-peer services. 12 Step programs are often and important component to the treatment of addictions. The afternoon course will orient professionals to the philosophy and practices of 12 Step programs. It will cover the 12 steps themselves. Saturday's course gives you insight into becoming a better group therapist.
